GET INVOLVED - PART THREE |
Are you excited about JFLA’s mission and interested in getting more involved with the agency?
To add to last month’s list of tips, here are a couple more:
-
Tribute Gifts. Need a holiday gift idea for a loved one who has everything? A tribute gift to JFLA in honor of a friend or family member is a simple way to send holiday greetings while providing financial support for JFLA. Tribute cards include your name, the name(s) of the receipient and a personalized message. To send a tribute card at any time, please visit www.jfla.org/donate or call (323)761-8830 x104.
-
Join JFLA’s Cause on Facebook. JFLA recently created a Facebook.com cause profile to promote the agency to a wider network of students and professionals. To date, the agency has received $50 in donations through the site, and has over 40 members supporting the cause. If you are a Facebook member, please join JFLA’s cause and spread the word to your friends.

Many students attending technical, vocational and trade schools are in need of financial assistance to cover the costs of tuition, books and other school-related expenses. Established four years ago, the Parvin Applied Education Loan Fund offers interest-free loans of up to $3,000 to help defray the costs associated with pursuing a degree or certificate in the applied education field. Since the program’s inception, JFLA has distributed over 120 loans to students pursuing careers in massage therapy, ultrasound technology, culinary arts, and several other fields. If you or someone you know is in need of a loan for a technical or vocational program, please contact (323)761-8830 or info@jfla.org.

THANK YOU JFLA |
|
“I wish to thank you for lending me the money I needed to start my business, which is becoming more successful by the day. As soon as I make some profit, I plan to make a donation as a form of thank you for helping me when I needed it the most.”
“Without the assistance from JFLA, I don’t know where I would be now. I just wanted to send this email, and hope that someone reads it and knows that JFLA made a difference in my life. I will forever be grateful.”
