CAMPERSHIP LOAN PROGRAMS

GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT

JFLA is thrilled to announce a $100,000 grant from the S. Mark Taper Foundation directed toward the Brandman Foundation Loan Fund for Nursing Students. This grant will offer financial assistance to nursing students throughout Los Angeles County. To date, JFLA has distributed close to 40 interest-free loans to students in the nursing field, with dozens of applications pending. “This generous grant enables JFLA to offer significant assistance to nursing students in the Los Angeles area,” said Mark Meltzer, JFLA’s CEO. This is the second grant JFLA has received from the S. Mark Taper Foundation. The first $100,000 grant came in 2001 in support of the Kopelove Home Healthcare Loan Fund. The S. Mark Taper Foundation, founded in 1989, is a private family foundation dedicated to enhancing the quality of people’s lives by supporting nonprofit organizations and their work in our communities. For more information about the nursing student loan program, please contact (323)761-8830 or info@jfla.org.
