MEDICAL & DENTAL LOANS
The rising cost of medical and dental insurance leaves many un-insured and under-insured individuals and families with outstanding bills to cover and few places to turn for assistance. JFLA’s Medical & Dental Loan Program addresses this important community need through interest-free loans of up to $3,000 for minor expenses not covered by insurance including various medications and procedures, as well as dentures, bridges, braces and retainers. Last year, JFLA expanded this program to emphasize senior citizens with emergency medical and dental needs. To date, JFLA has enabled over 1,500 individuals and families to get the care they need with financial ease. NOSH ‘N NETWORK WRAP UP
JFLA’s 2nd Annual Nosh ‘n Network was held on November 1st as part of our expanding community outreach campaign. Professionals from a variety of social service agencies were invited for lunch to network, share information about their programs and learn more about the valuable service JFLA provides through its loan programs. The event provided a unique opportunity for community service professionals to meet the JFLA staff and client advocates and to strengthen and establish referral relationships to better assist those in need. Over 40 professionals from throughout the city attended the event.
