Many Californians have difficulty accessing home healthcare services due to lack of insurance, limited coverage or gaps in Medicare. The Kopelove Home Healthcare Loan Fund is a program for families in need of short-term home care for children, parents and spouses. Loans averaging $5,000 are available for:
Home healthcare is a cost-effective alternative to extended hospital stays, but still an expensive undertaking. Interest-free loans can assist those who are uninsured or underinsured, have to meet a deductible, are awaiting reimbursements or who opt to be a primary caregiver.
