Since Jewish Free Loan was founded in 1904, it has been assisting immigrants with the costs of housing, transportation and subsistence while settling into a new life in Los Angeles.

Jewish Free Loan played a major role in the resettlement of hundreds of immigrants and their families during the 1980s and 1990s as large numbers of Jews left the former Soviet Union and Iran to lead safer and more fulfilling lives in America.

Today, Jewish Free Loan’s Resettlement Loan Program continues to provide interest-free loans to immigrants of all faiths to defray the cost of living expenses. Resettlement loans are available for up to $15,000 for small expenses or closing costs associated with a first-time home purchase in Los Angeles.

At Jewish Free Loan, we rely on guarantors instead of collateral to secure your loan. A guarantor is someone can guarantee to pay back the loan if you do not. A guarantor is at least 25 years old, lives in California and has a credit score of 680 or better. A friend, family member, or employer are examples of a guarantor.
