Be Our Yes

Your Generosity Makes a Difference.

Jewish Free Loan Association offers zero-interest, zero-fee loans that restore dignity, stability, and opportunity. Thousands of individuals and families have achieved financial security because JFLA was able to say “yes” to them when they needed it most.

JFLA is flooded with applications from people who are about to be evicted, require medical care, are experiencing an emergency, or must put their college dreams on hold.

Give today so that JFLA can provide immediate financial help to our community.

JFLA clients urge you to Be Our Yes.

Donations made it possible for JFLA to say “Yes” to our loan applications. But, without continued support, JFLA cannot say “Yes” to more clients.

On behalf of clients who are struggling, whether it is attending college or dealing with an emergency, we need JFLA to Be Our Yes, and we need you to make it possible. We need you to donate to JFLA today.

When you give, you become the reason a student stays in school, a family keeps their home, or someone finds safety in a crisis.

With your support, JFLA can say “Yes” to more people like us.

I was in the middle of my sophomore year at UC Berkeley, and while I was home for winter break, my family’s home burned to the ground in the Eaton Fire.

The neighborhood I grew up in was gone in an instant. And, so was my family’s ability to help me pay for college. We had lost everything.

My future was unclear, and I thought that I would need to put my education on hold.

I did not know where to turn.

Then I learned about the education loan program at JFLA. I applied for a loan and quickly received a zero-interest, zero-fee education loan. The “Yes” from JFLA for a loan allowed me to breathe my first sigh of relief, and I was able to continue my education.

I am deeply grateful to JFLA, who stepped up during a crisis to help me. This support means the world to me as my family begins to rebuild our home and our lives.

- Amelia,

3rd-year student at Berkeley and survivor of the Eaton Fire

I am a first-generation Mexican American and the first in my family to pursue higher education. When I was accepted into West Coast University’s nursing program, my fiancé and I worked full-time to make tuition possible. But when he was diagnosed with cancer and began chemotherapy, everything changed. I was working overnight shifts, driving him to treatments, and trying to stay afloat in school. It felt like everything was piling up, and I didn’t know how I would continue.

That’s when I learned about JFLA’s interest- and fee-free loans. For the first time in months, I felt hope. With my family’s support as guarantors, I received the loan and was able to stay in school and focus on my fiancé’s health. I graduated in August 2025 with my BSN/RN and recently started my dream residency. I am now able to give back to the community I come from—and I know this would not have been possible without JFLA and the generosity of its donors. Thank you.
