Plaid ID Verification
Plaid ID Verification
Jewish Free Loan Association ("we," "us," or "JFLA") uses Plaid Inc., a third-party service provider, to securely verify your identity, authenticate your identity documents, and confirm your presence during the loan application process. This applies to all loan applicants and guarantors.
The purpose of these verifications is to protect both you and us from fraud. By verifying your identity, authenticating your documents, and confirming your presence during the application, we help ensure that only you, and not someone impersonating you or using stolen information, can apply for a loan in your name.
To validate your identity, you will be asked to submit the following using the Plaid platform:
- Your Personal Information: Full name, date of birth, phone number, Social Security number, and current residential address.
- A photo of your face: Taken in real time using your cell phone (please have your phone handy).
- A photo of your selected government-issued ID: Front and back (if applicable), taken in real time.
- For loan applicants: Valid California driver's license or California state-issued ID.
- For guarantors: Valid driver's license or state-issued ID from any state.
JFLA cannot accept any of the above through email or any means other than the Plaid platform. If you choose not to verify your identity using Plaid, JFLA will be unable to consider your loan application.
Plaid does not sell your data or use it for purposes unrelated to the services you've requested. Your data is encrypted and securely transmitted, and Plaid is required to comply with all applicable U.S. laws regarding data security, retention, and usage. Plaid's collection, use, and sharing of your information is governed by its End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#consumers.
JFLA's Privacy Policy is available at https://www.jfla.org/privacy-policy, which includes general information about how we use and protect your data.
